JOB DESCRIPTION Position: Willis Re Actuarial team member – Knowledge Services Location:Mumbai, Thane Reporting to:Team Leader Job Summary:Provide actuarial reinsurance pricing and dynamic portfolio optimization support for Willis Re North America’s senior analysts in their work for clients and prospects.
Principal Duties/Responsibilities:Account Analysis and Support:
Cleanse data in preparation for actuarial analysis
- Perform actuarial analysis such as exposure rating and experience rating to help build loss model for client business, estimate reinsurance pricing, and determine optimal reinsurance structures given client risk profile and underwriting strategy
- Prepare and present analyses in clear terms appropriate to the audience
- Provide value-added service to clients as needed
Market Research and Development:
Assist senior analysts in market and line of business studies to credentialize Willis Re as thought leader in reinsurance and primary marketplace
Required Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, Experience:Qualifications:
Graduates / Post-graduates in any subject – preferably Maths / Stats / Eco / Commerce
- Should be a student member of anyone or more of the following institutes / societies:
- Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI)
- Institute of Actuaries – UK (IOA)
- Society of Actuaries – US (SOA) / Casualty Actuarial Society – US (CAS)
- 3 or more Actuarial exams cleared from anyone of the above institutes
Skills:
Good understanding of insurance concepts
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office is essential, and in particular advanced Excel skills.Knowledge of SQL would be an added advantage
Knowledge/Experience:
0 – 3 years of experience in an Actuarial setup – preferably involving property and casualty insurance related actuarial work.
