ParticipantMany employers prefer candidates with maths/stat/economics background. So they have added advantage.
Also, many employers ask for a minimum of 55%
In graduation.
So, I think degree does matters in actuarial science.

Actuarial Info mobile appThe most preferred degree are BSc in eco/math/stat or other Quant related degrees. They complement well with actuarial.
Many employers seek individual from this backgrounds.
However, any other degree from any other stream will also do. It is not compulsory to go for these degrees only. You can choose to study whatever that you are interested in.
