No matter the source, actuary is consistently rated as one of the best jobs in the world.US News and World Report, the Jobs Rated Almanac, CNN Money, and others all agree: very few occupations offer the combination of benefits that an actuarial career can offer. In almost every category, such as work environment, employment outlook, job security, growth opportunity, and salary (especially salary), a career as an actuary is hard to beat. One of the most important reasons that actuaries is a perfect career option is that the true application of mathematics and statistics which we have learnt during the course in solving real life problems.
Another very important factor is the job security it offers because of the work and study policy with most actuarial jobs which allows you to grow in the most progressive way.
There is hardly any iota of doubts that actuaries is one of the most rewarding careers in the world with unending benefits and a rare recognition of doing something unique and significant. The employment opportunities are growing everyday as risk mitigation is a sector agnostic activity.
None the less actuaries is the career option for those who have the patience to clear the 13 papers and devote thousands of hours of study for 5 to 10 years. Any aspirant should be always focused on becoming a fully qualified actuary and not a part qualified one by clearing a few papers . The first few years indeed are crucial and will test your determination and dedication as you have to juggle your time between work and study in the most effective manner.
