Following are the reasons: 1) ULIP is a investment cum insurance policy, so apart from investment it also provide Sum Assured to the policy holder which cover risk of death. But investment under share is done only for investment purpose no any risk coverage.
2) Also, under ULIP there are swithching of fund options are there to the some extent these switches are free and as per market conditions we can switch our fund but under shares these facility is not available.
